Sniper Elite 4 Announced for 2016



Sniper Elite 4 has been announced for release in 2016 by independent developer and publisher Rebellion. The Sniper Elite series has sold over 10 million copies to date and with this latest installment it's clearly looking to add to that figure.

Watch the teaser trailer above to see how the newly announce Sniper Elite 4 will take advantage of the latest consoles power to produce the next level of gaming without the constraints of previous outdated hardware. Sniper Elite 4 is in production for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and the PC only, which means that the last generation of console miss out for the betterment of the current generation. Sniper Elite 4 will run in native 1080p on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There is no mention at this stage for what the frames per second (FPS) will be set to.

We can expect massive open worlds with which to line up our shots for some super long sniping in a war torn Italy. Sniper Elite 4 is set in the immediate aftermath of Sniper Elite 3 and continues on with the World War 2 heritage and takes place in Italy in 1943.

You will return as the best of the best, Karl Fairburne and you will fight along side the brave Italian Resistance to help free their country from Fascism and defeat a totally new threat with the possibility to stop the fightback in Europe before it begins. If his mission fails, there will be no Operation Overlord, no D-Day landings, and no Victory in Europe.

Monte Cassino
We can expect Mediterranean coastal towns and Nazi megastructures along with lush forests, mountain monasteries that are inspired by Monte Cassino. Sniper Elite 4, just like it's predecessors is very likely to provide countless sniping and action opportunities and is looking to dwarf the map sizes from previous games in the series. Fans of Sniper Elite definitely have something to look forward to her and we will be following the next few stages up until the release date very closely.
