Call of Duty Infinite Warfare feat. MW1 Remaster

Activision previously revealed that a new entry in its blockbuster "Call of Duty" franchise would be coming in time for the 2016 holiday season, but only a few rumors have trickled out since February. That all changed this week as details of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" leaked online through several sources. Retailers and Sony's PlayStation Store have combined to reveal the game's initial unveiling next week, its title, release date and details on the "Legacy Edition" of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare."

A reservation card from Target detailing a Nov. 4 release date for "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" was posted to Reddit Wednesday by a user whose account has since been deleted. "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" Legacy Edition will include a download of a remastered edition of 2007's "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare," based on the reservation card.

"Infinite Warfare" is reportedly set in the far future with an emphasis on space combat. After the expected reveal next week, further details could be discussed during Activision Blizzard's earning report on May 5. "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will likely be featured at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles in June.

"Call of Duty" has become an annual event, with each release setting new sales records. Last year's "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" was the best-selling game of 2015 with $550 million in sales in its first three days of release.
