COD World League

"Welcome to a new era in Call of Duty eSports.
Today we announce the creation of the Call of Duty® World League, a worldwide eSports league operated by Activision. The Call of Duty franchise has been a significant part of the eSports phenomenon in recent years, with growing audiences and tournaments around the world. Treyarch has been a driving force for Call of Duty eSports since Black Ops 2 with the creation of pioneering features like CODcaster and League Play while Activision has set the bar with the preeminent global Call of Duty® Championship tournament. With the Call of Duty® World League and Treyarch, we are deepening our commitment to support the highest quality of competitive play for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
For players, it means bigger competitions and prize pools, but also more opportunities to get involved. The Pro Division will provide regular competition for the very best in North America, Europe, and Australia & New Zealand, while The ChallengeDivision will allow amateur players a path to compete and earn their way to the world's stage. The year will culminate with Call of Duty® Championship 2016, which will take place in the fall of 2016. Added up, the prize offerings in the season will total more than $3 million.
For fans, there's never been a better time to follow Call of Duty eSports. There will be enhanced content and coverage to come as we chronicle what will be the most memorable season of Call of Duty eSports to date.
We can't wait for you to join us on this journey.
Specific announcements regarding qualification dates and age restrictions will be posted at a later date."
So there is a nice bit of information and some good opportunities for you COD players to get into it on a world wide competitive scale, with some big dollars up for grabs too.
Some of the fine print I have read is players must be over 18 to compete and competition will be on the PS4 system at this stage.
So who is excited? Anyone here going for it?
