2015 Game Awards - Nominees

The Game Awards 2015 are less than three weeks away, and is shaping up to be a very interesting show.

The five nominees for the coveted Game of the Year award are Bloodborne, Fallout 4, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, Super Mario Maker and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. CD Projekt Red's open-world witching adventure topped the list with nods in seven categories, while Hideo Kojima's swan song at Konami garnered five nominations. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the publisher of both The Witcher 3 and Batman: Arkham Knight, led all publishers with 11 nominations.

To be eligible for this year's awards games had to have a commercial release date on or before Nov. 24, 2015, which excluded some big December titles such as Just Cause 3 and Rainbow Six Siege.

The show will also give out three esports awards, with nominees chosen separately by an esports-focused advisory panel. The winners in those three categories, as well as the fields of Best Fan Creation, Trending Gamer and Most Anticipated Game, will be determined by a fan vote.

The Game Awards 2015 will air at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, Dec. 3, live from the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles. The show will be live streamed on the web, including Twitch, YouTube, Steam, the PlayStation Network, Wii U, Xbox Live, Polygon and Go90. Or join the Aussie Gamers crew at AussieGamersTV.

You can see the full list of nominees below, along with a teaser for the show. As usual, the broadcast will feature musical performances along with exclusive trailers for new and existing games.
