No PS+ for No Man's Sky

No Man's Sky is rocketing closer to its hopeful release date of the 9th of August 2016 and as we approach we are getting little tidbits of information that is not only good news, but also a tell of what to expect from your gaming experience.

It has been announced that No Man's Sky, although at its core is an online experience and it does have the possibility of running into other players in the connected universe, it is being considered by its creators, as well as Sony, to be a single player experience. Being that the chances of running into another real player, let alone one of your friends is so slim, a Playstation Plus subscription will not be needed to play.

A Sony representative told Game Informer “PS Plus won’t be a requirement to play online, however you will need to connected to the internet for your discoveries to register with the universal atlas...”

It makes a lot of sense for Sony to set this game up like this considering the premium subscription is suggested to be for online multiplayer games (as well as other benefits).

No Man's Sky has created a world of intrigue when it comes to what to expect when we get our hands on this new concept of a game. Aussie Gamers Express will be covering No Man's Sky very soon so keep an eye out on this website to see what we thought of it.
