Red Dead: Rumours Surface Again

**UPDATE**
A massive rumour (and nothing more) doing the rounds on the internet is that an upcoming title is set to be revealed this quarter of the year by Rockstar and Take Two Interactive. Red Dead Redemption 2 is apparently set to be announced in August. Take-Two Interactive is set to be at Gamescom trade fair in Cologne, Germany.

Well with E3 so far behind us we can't see it on the horizon any more, we start to look ahead and ponder on what is yet to come in gaming. Unfortunately after many whispers from the shadows of shadows about a big secret project that may have been another Red Dead title, it was not showcased.

Red Dead Redemption was a western third person shooter released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on the 18th of May 2010 and was a highly sought game. Countless gamers rejoiced upon hearing that Red Dead Redemption was to become backwards compatible with the Xbox One. Shortly after this occurred the sales for each unit sold was at an all time high for the series of over 13 million purchases.

The  CEO of Take-Two Interactive has stated "Red Dead is going to be a staple franchise in our lineup". This would put Red Dead back in the spotlight. In addition to the what has been advised, there have been rumours that Rockstar Games have been hard at work with something new. Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games have not had a big presence at the E3 convention this year so could they be saving the best for last? With Gamescom a mere month away, this could be a prime time to showcase a new title. This could leave some people with a fear of a release that is too early in development, however Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive are veterans in their field and are well aware that gamers would prefer a game to be released later and to be bug free rather than have a bug filled mess by Christmas.
