Assassins Creed TV Series

Ubisoft has revealed that it is working on an Assassin's Creed TV series. Assassin's Creed head of content Aymar Azaizia confirmed this during a Reddit AMA this week, though he declined to share any specifics about it.

"We will take our time to get sure we deliver something we can be proud of," he said.

Although an Assassin's Creed TV show has yet to be formally announced, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said last year that the company was in talks with Netflix for a series, but he did not say which property might be spun into a show. It is possible that as one of Ubisoft’s biggest and most recognizable brands, Assassin's Creed is the franchise in question.

We can pretty safely assume that the TV show would be produced by Ubisoft's film and TV division, Ubisoft Motion Pictures. Having previously produced the Rabbids Invasion TV show for Nickelodeon, as well as the Assassin’s Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender, which released at New Years, they are a team well equipped for the task.

In addition to the Assassin's Creed TV show, Ubisoft is reportedly at work on a movie sequel to Assassin's Creed.

Also during the AMA, Azaizia was questioned about the rumored new Assassin's Creed game, Assassin's Creed: Empire. When asked whether he could say "Empire' just once, Azaizia replied, "lol." He was also asked if the image below, which has been making the rounds, is in fact from the next Assassin's Creed game. His response: "Not AC :)"

The rumoured Assassin's Creed: Empire is supposedly set in Egypt and due to launch in 2017.
