Games With Gold | April 2017

Xbox is presenting us with a few nice treats this month. And while nothing is blowing me away personally, they’re some pretty decent titles. I’m going to say this month is a good “If you haven’t played it yet you probably should” kind of month.

So what’s on offer?
Ryse: Son of Rome will have you fighting for Rome with sword in hand, while The Walking Dead: Season 2 will take you through a journey of difficult choices and zombies. Darksiders lets you live out the supernatural in a vivid show of fire and brimstone, and let’s not forget the fan favourite conclusion to the Ezio trilogy, Assassin’s Creed Revelations.
Whatever you choose it’s going to be a fun month for Xbox gamers

Remember: Any games you choose to download during their availability period will remain accessible as long as you have an active Xbox Live Gold membership. Xbox 360 games made available through Games With Gold are also backwards compatible with Xbox One.
April 2017 – Games With Gold
Ryse: Son of Rome (Xbox One) - Available: April 1 - 30 While Ryse's gameplay was criticized for being a bit shallow, nobody was complaining about the beautiful graphics or the involving story. This game was a launch title for the Xbox One and is still one of the best-looking.
Telltale's The Walking Dead: Season 2 (Xbox One) - Available: April 16 - May 15 Tired of all this sunshine, warm weather, and general feeling of happiness that's creeping up on us? Make yourself miserable by staying in and playing The Walking Dead, where even little girls are forced to make life-and-death decisions in a harsh post-apocalypse.
Darksiders (Xbox 360) - Available: April 1 - 15 The best M-rated Zelda game you'll ever play, Darksiders didn't get much love when it first released, but has since grown and developed a cult following. Wanna know why people get excited whenever the words "Darksiders 3" are mentioned? Play this and you'll find out.
Assassin's Creed Revelations (Xbox 360) - Available: April 16 - 30 The world fell in love with the handsome Assassin known as Ezio Auditore, but we knew his adventures had to come to an end someday. But with the release of Revelations on Games With Gold, you most certainly can go back to Constantinople.
